Strong Pace at PF International Despite Penalty Setbacks

Joss returned to PF International for Round 2 of the Champions of the Future Academy, taking on another hugely competitive grid packed with top UK and European talent.

Despite significantly less seat time compared to many of the drivers competing full-time across the UK and Europe, Joss immediately showed impressive pace throughout the weekend, consistently running at the sharp end against some of the strongest young racers in the field.

Saturday began with a solid P9 qualifying result before Joss quickly made his mark in the heats. His opening laps proved to be a real highlight of the day, storming through the field in the first few corners of every race and immediately putting himself into contention.

Heat 1 saw Joss cross the line in an excellent P5 after another aggressive and confident drive through the pack. Unfortunately, a 5-second nose cone penalty dropped him back to P12 in the final classification.

Heat 2 brought another strong performance with a P8 finish, before Joss ended the day with another competitive drive to P9 in the Final.

Sunday saw the momentum continue as Joss qualified P6, firmly placing himself amongst the front runners once again.

In Heat 1, Joss delivered one of his strongest drives of the weekend, fighting his way to an outstanding P3 on track against one of the toughest grids in junior karting. However, another nose cone penalty cruelly dropped him back to P12.

Heat 2 brought home another solid P7 finish, while the Final saw Joss cross the line in P11 after battling hard throughout the race. A further 5-second penalty unfortunately pushed the final result back to P18.

While the final results do not fully reflect the pace shown across the weekend, there were plenty of positives to take away from PFI.

Competing wheel-to-wheel with some of the strongest full-time UK and European drivers, Joss once again demonstrated the speed, racecraft, and determination needed to fight at the front.

With the pace clearly there, attention now turns to the next round at Larkhall in Scotland as Joss looks to convert strong performances into the results they deserve.
